Mohawk’s e-store will undergo some routine maintenance on Jan. 19. For a few hours, the store will be inaccessible. If you need to place an order, inquire about your account, or browse the inventory call 800-323-7652 during this time.

The site will be back up and running Monday afternoon.

In observance of Christmas, Mohawk will close December 25 and December 26.

We will resume operations on Monday, Dec. 29.

Mohawk will be updating pricing at the close of business today. All orders placed before 5 pm Central Time will be processed at the current price level.

In celebration of its 50 years in the transit and coach bus parts industry, Mohawk Mfg. & Supply Co. will thank its customers and welcome new agencies and vendors Oct. 6-8 at the APTA Expo 2008 in San Diego.

Mohawk personnel will be stationed at Booth 4850 displaying some of the company’s newly-developed parts that will keep transit maintenance affordable. Company President John W. Brown, an original founder of the family-owned and operated business, will be in attendance, as will Regional Sales Managers Jim Jimieson and Tom Gramly, Executive Vice President Robert L. Brown, and Engineering Manager Dave Lakickas.

Mohawk will also demonstrate the interactive capabilities of its website, launched earlier this year. To date, Mohawk has more than 400 registered users who can now buy any part in Mohawk’s inventory, check on shipments and backorders, and review pricing and inventory status.

Finally, Mohawk will explain how it can work with an agency to develop a part or system through its engineering and manufacturing capabilities, its deep roster of suppliers and its knowledgeable sales and customer support staff.

Mohawk was founded in April 1958 by Wilbur L. Brown, John W. Brown and Fred Winkler. The Brown family continues to own and operate Mohawk, which is now the largest independent parts supplier in the transit and coach industry.

Mohawk has long been a proud distributor of Walex products, including the Porta-Pak lavatory deodorizer packet, and the PT-500-5 lavatory chemical deodorizer.  While the Porta-Pak is one of the most identifiable lavatory products available, many of our customers are unaware of the Bio-Pak, an environmentally-friendly alternative to the Porta-Pak.

Bio-Pak is enzyme-based deodorizer that is a better waste digester than the Porta-Pak.  It is recommended for use on coaches that empty their toilet tanks every two to three days.  The Bio-Pak conforms to California environmental standards and is safe to dump into a septic system.
